The Reasoning of Intelligent Design

November 18, 2007

It appears to me that some choose to believe in a Master Creator because their belief system requires humans to be separate from the animals.

If humans evolved from animals, as proposed by Darwinists, then either: humans have no souls, or all creatures have souls.

That proposition may be currently unacceptable to those that believe in the Master Creator.

The Nova program talked around this issue, but never penetrated it. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/id/

The bigger question might be: Would a Cloned Human have a soul?

Solution to Global Warming

November 17, 2007

It would seem that the efficiency of various machines, to include SUVs and appliances, can have a practical limit of maybe a 20% improvement.  And that would be the most that could ever achieved; meaning, it is not even worth pursuing.

It would seem that reducing the birth rate by 20% would achieve the same reduction in greenhouse gas emissions over a three generation period, and would have the added benefit of compounding (like compound interest) over the long term.  As fewer and fewer people are born, the impact to the environment by the diminishing population is less and less.

I can’t see how any other solution would work more efficiently.
